Positive thinking is a process of crafting thoughts that can process and convert energy into reality. Positive thinking is not about forgetting the negative thoughts. It is about moving ahead of those lowest points in life and making that impact. Positive thinking can be achieved through a few different techniques that have been tried and tested. This Transformation Tuesday, here are some tips that will help to train your brain to be positive:
- Start on a positive note
Make it a ritual to start your day with a positive thought. Tell yourself that it is a great day. May be listening to a motivational song. Maybe you can compliment someone for the good work. Share something positive and uplifting.
- Focus on good things
Challenges are a part and parcel of life. When you are facing challenges or issues, focus on good things no matter how insignificant they are. If you look for good things you will find your silver lining. For example, if an important meeting is canceled, do not be sad about it. Take it as an opportunity to finish other pending tasks.
- Practice positive self-talk
You need to motivate yourself by taking positive to the self in crisis. This is the best therapy. You learn to master the art of being mindful of the voice in your head. Research proves that the slightest of the change in the way you talk to yourself can influence your ability to manage your feelings, thoughts, and emotions when under stress.
- Surround yourself with positive people
Surround yourself with people who will help you to grow, who will lift you up and show the brighter side of any situation. This will increase your chances of success.
- Do not over analyze
Do not over-analyze any situation. It is very easy to lose focus when in stress. Always follow a three-step approach to – Stop, Breath, and Refocus.
- Overcome fear
Do not let vague fears hold yourself back from doing what you want. Be fearless and take that chance in life.
And finally exercise regularly and eat and sleep well.
As Louise Hay quoted – “Every thought we think is creating our future”, so think positive and create a beautiful future.
