In every organisation, there are always new team members joining in. It is for the organization and team to ensure the new member in the family is comfortable in the new culture, new work schedules, new teams. Today, in this edition of iFaber, we had a chat with the youngest member in our team – Mr. Sarang Vasaikar, who has joined the presales team at Faber Infinite Consulting. This is first step in the corporate journey that he has embarked on. The excerpts of the journey are mentioned below.
Faber Infinite (FI) – Hello Sarang, Can you share your journey so far with our readers?
Sarang Vasaikar (SV) – It has been almost a month that I am in the system and it has been a smooth start since I have joined. This is my first job and there is so much to learn, so much to experience. I am glad to share that, I have received all the needed support from the management team, from my own department to help me learn and adapt new skills required for my job profile. I can say, the journey so far has been like an enjoyable roller-coaster ride, as every profession has its own ups and downs in every organisation. I have made mistakes, but I have learnt from the mistakes as well. The team at Faber Infinite has been very supportive, I can say I have learned a lot.
FI – What made you sure that this organization is the right fit for your personal development?
SV – So I will begin first with my personal goals and interest. I always wanted to work with a management consulting organisation, since it gives you exposure to different industries. I always wanted to improve my skills and qualities of building and maintaining public and business relations. And so far, at Faber I have been able to achieve more than expected. Being new and working with an organisation like Faber Infinite is so far one of my biggest achievements.
FI – Being a new member on board, what is that one thing that made you feel comfortable with the team?
SV – To be honest, I never felt like a new member or like an outsider. I can say that Faber team played a major part in making me feel like their family and like one of their own and comfortable in a completely new culture. The induction at Faber is so well planned and well thought that it makes it very smooth and easy for a new member to not only accommodate in the system but excel. Besides the training and induction, the team bonding activities, the ways of celebrating festivals are planned in such a way that you interact with all team members across offices and functions. This helps you to interact with people beyond your function and office location. This is one of the best things about teams at Faber Infinite.
FI – What advice would you like to give to people aspiring to join the Faber family?
SV – For people who want to work with a global management consulting organization, Faber is the place to be! This is an organization that is working on building competitiveness across industries and geographies. We have more than 200+ clients across 8 countries. There is a lot to learn. Those who want to join the organization should be ready to accept challenges and work on new projects across industries. We are working in the domain of business, strategy and operational excellence. This is the place for those who love adventure, every day is a new challenge and new learning.
FI – What is that one thing about this organization that makes you come to work every day?
SV – Faber Infinite for me is like my 2nd home now. And I love to work over here because as I mentioned above, I am learning a lot and not just that, I am able to achieve all my personal aspirations. And apart from that, every day is very fulfilling, I am happy learning new things and interacting with the teams.
FI – Which of your personal aspirations, you see accomplishing here?
SV – As I have mentioned above, I always wanted to work in a business management consulting and at a place where I can learn how to build and maintain public relations and business relations. When we enter the corporate world, I guess that is when you get out the reality strikes upon you. You have always been thinking you know everything and can do everything. But as you enter a real corporate organisation, that is when you realise that all you knew was just a small amount from what the actual world has to offer. And here, as I have mentioned above, I am learning, learning and learning every new day. This is my biggest achievement that I have been able to accomplish here so far. My aim is to gather as much knowledge as I can and team Faber Infinite has been supporting me in my professional aspirations.
I want to look back at my career and be proud of the work that I did and the things that I learnt. Team Faber Infinite has been helping me fulfil my aspirations with every new day.
