In any organization, all the functions work together for the growth and development of the organization. Each function in the organization is equally important and necessary. The key role of the Marketing function is to streamline the efforts to the best interests of the organization. In this edition of Faber, we bring to you yet another transformation catalyst at Faber Infinite – Ms. Priyal Shah – Executive Marketing and Communication at Faber Infinite Consulting. Priyal has been a star performer and is always ready for new challenges and explores new tasks. Below is an excerpt of our conversation with her.

Faber Infinite (FI): Hello Priyal! Tell us how you got started in your career at Faber Infinite Consulting.

Priyal Shah (PS): I started my career with Faber Infinite Consulting immediately after my graduation. I was referred here by my placement committee faculty. I joined team Faber Infinite in the year 2018 as a part of the Marketing and Communication team.

FI: What attracted you to this job specifically?

PS: I always wanted to work in the field of marketing and communication. This is the profession where you must be creative and technical at the same time. This job gives me the opportunity to follow my passion and that is to write, create, and build relations. Secondly, Faber Infinite is a management consulting organization that works with clients across geographies and sectors, thus provides me an opportunity to learn about how different industries operate. Every day is a learning experience and that is what I love about my job at Faber Infinite.

FI: What can you tell us about our organization?

PS: Faber is one big family. Everyone at Faber is equal. We have an open-door policy at Faber Infinite. The best part about Faber is its culture. The team is welcoming and accommodating. We at Faber Infinite practice what they preach. We believe in the growth of all the stakeholders including – vendors, employees, clients. It is an organization, where the seniors are open to discuss ideas and opinions. For Faber, their employees are its biggest assets which bring in a sense of loyalty towards the organization, which is rare in today’s scenario. Even in these tough times of pandemic, we have a strict policy of no layoffs or furloughs. All of us at Faber is working hard to thrive through these tough times and we know we would emerge stronger.

FI: What makes you passionate about your work at FI?

PS: The one thing that makes me passionate about working at Faber is the learning experience. What I love are the perspectives and ideas I am exposed to daily. Every day there is something new to learn, not just restricted to my function but even from the other functions. Being a part of this industry and contributing to the marketing and communications team, gives me a broader view of the knowledge across industries.

FI: How has your skillset grown over time?

PS: When I started with Faber, I was a fresher and completely new to the corporate setup. All that I knew was what was taught to me in my university. After joining Faber, I picked up a lot of new skills through training and mentoring by the seniors in the organization. Over time I kept practicing new skills to further improve, strengthen, and accelerate my career growth.

It has helped me grow professionally as well as personally. It has been a wonderful journey so far. With the limitless opportunities at Faber, I have a lot to learn and improve.

FI: How does Faber Infinite celebrate the accomplishments of its employees? Share with us one of your accomplishments and how was it recognized.

PS: At Faber, all the team members are recognized for their hard work. The rewards and recognition at Faber are the best, to keep the motivation high. Having said that, in January 2020, I was fortunate to be recognized with 3 awards included special recognition for my commitment and dedication. It means a lot to me. All my hard work has been rewarded and celebrated. This motivates me daily to go beyond and work harder.

FI: Where would you like to see your career in three years?

PS: I look at seeing myself as the Chief Marketing Officer. I know, it is a long way to go to reach there and there is a lot to learn to reach that position but that is my immediate goal for now. So, I would give my best to meet my aspirations and make my organization grow higher.  I believe growth never stops and life is full of opportunities, it is just that you should have the potential to keep building on your progress and laying the foundation for your best self. You can always do more and be better. As Winston Churchill rightly said – “Continuous effort – not strength or intelligence – is the key to unlocking your potential.”

Thank you, Faber Priyal, for sharing these wonderful and encouraging details about you and life at Faber. We wish you luck in all your future assignments
