Did you know, businesses around the world are changing their dynamics and adopting the new normal to match demand?
One of the world’s leading manufacturers of the luxurious car started manufacturing large numbers of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP). It is a device that supports patients with severe breathing issues and frees critically ill patients from ventilators.
This manufacturer manufactured 10,000 devices in a month and delivered it to the government of the UK for meeting the targets. The manufacturer decided to use all of its resources to produce CPAP and they produced 1,000 units a day. Within a week the organization was sharing CPAP units with more than 1,300 teams across 25 different countries.
Another multinational car manufacturing organization has indigenously developed a prototype of a bag valve mask. This mask was developed within 48 hours by the engineers of the organization. This device will help patients with breathing problems. This device could cost less than ₹7,500, unlike any ventilator which would cost nearly 5-6 lakh. The device is under production.
Similarly, one of India’s leading alcohol manufacturing organizations announced that they are going to expand the use of their Extra Neutral Alcohol (ENA) to manufacture hand sanitizer. The organization has started production and the product should be available in the stores within a short time.
Another leading alcohol manufacturing organization of India stated that they are going to offer free refills of hand sanitizer to the health care workers and villages in and around their area. The organization is going to make non-conformist hand sanitizers available at the local stores at a very nominal price to fight the shortage of the hand sanitizer. The organization is manufacturing the hand sanitizer using the WHO guidelines. Whoever carries their own bottle can get a refill for free.
Hence, as you can see, companies around the world are working in compliance with the ongoing demand to serve society along with accepting the new forms of business. This situation of crisis can be won if you adapt to the new ways and forms of doing business. Have you adapted the new ways to do business yet?
