Do you know, Denmark is using 50% of its energy from renewable sources of energy?

In the year 2018, Denmark got 43.5% of its energy from renewable sources such as solar and wind power, while in 2017 it was just under 46%.

The renewable source such as wind energy played a crucial role in drawing renewable energy use over the 50% mark. 47% of the country’s green energy is generated from wind and the rest from solar panels.

A major new wind farm, Horns Rev 3, opened in 2019, making a major contribution to wind energy production. This Farm is located on Denmark’s west coast and it can supply the annual energy consumption of nearly 4,25,000 households.

The consumption of electricity from solar and wind power has increased by more than double in Denmark over the last decade, and Hylleberg predicted that wind will supply 60% of the country’s needs in the early 2020s.

A broad parliamentary before Christmas announced a new law that stated that greenhouse emissions should be reduced by 70% in the country by the year 2030, compared to its level by the year 1990. The country targets to be CO2-neutral by the year 2050.

As you can see, the entire world is working towards reducing green-house emissions and CO2. Denmark has achieved the highest amount of renewable energy sources than other countries which that leads to reduced green-house emissions and CO2. Along with that, the lockdown due to the COVID pandemic has helped the countries with high pollution to reduce its pollution level with fewer industries working and fewer vehicles on the road. This is the change that the countries are working towards to reduce pollution by using renewable energy sources. Along with the pandemic that has forced us to stay at home thus leading to reduced pollution.

As you can see, change is bound to happen. Whether we bring in change and accept it or the change happens and we are forced to accept it. But change is only constant and it is bound to happen. The world is changing their dynamics to do business, to travel, in one’s lifestyle, and much more. We all are developing a changing environment. So, have you accepted the change?
