Use Communication Tools Effectively

You can use tools such as instant messaging, video conferencing, and collaborative document editing to keep in touch with your remote team. 

Use tools that can be used on multiple devices. This is important because you need to be able to communicate with your team when away from the office, while still being able to work on other tasks at home or in the office. 

Assign Tasks and Track Progress

The first step is to decide which employees are going to take on which tasks. This will depend on their strengths and weaknesses. If they need more guidance or direction, then you should consider assigning them a mentor within the company who can help them if they need assistance. 

Once you’ve assigned them tasks, it’s time for setting deadlines and milestones for each task in order to track progress regularly throughout its completion process.

As a leader, it’s important to focus on your team’s career growth. This can be done in many ways. You can create mentoring and training opportunities for employees to learn new skills and meet people outside of their immediate team.

In addition, encourage them to take some time away from their devices and go outdoors—this is especially important if they spend most of their days working remotely at home. 

Maintain flexibility and trust in decision-making

One of the biggest hurdles to overcome when managing a remote team is maintaining trust. to build trust with your team you need to establish a clear vision for how you want things done and communicate it clearly. 

Also, allow for plenty of room for flexibility, when possible, without compromising the quality or efficiency of work. It will allow your team to make decisions independently, so you don’t have to micromanage every detail of their workday.
