There is always a difference between a weak and a strong leader. A weak leader will blame the team for not getting things right, while a strong leader will always know that it is his/her responsibility to get it correct. A good leader is always responsible for creating organizational alignment with the team. If something slips out of alignment and the leader is unhappy with the outcome, then the leader must ask himself/herself, what was it about my leadership that generated this outcome? In this article, we have listed 3 ways to Keep Your Teams in Sync.

The reality is alignment will not just happen; leaders need to create it. Let us look at how it is to be done:

Frequent Connect

A leader cannot keep the team aligned unless he/she is in frequent touch with them. The better team will perform the more information is given to them. If the leader does not spend enough time with them then they are bound to take decisions that the leader is not comfortable with.

Interaction

Connect is not enough. A leader should interact with his/her teams. Your teams cannot read your mind. The team needs to understand the vision, mission and the goals of the organization. Leader needs to verbally communicate the expected results time and again only then the desired outcomes will be assured.

If there is any problem in understanding, then you need to speak up with the team before it gets worst.

Earn their trust

Frequent connection and interaction are not enough. For true alignment to take place, your team needs to trust you. The team needs to be committed to your success and the success of the team. It is not that if you are a leader, you can buy the heart of the employees. You need to earn the trust. You can create a connection – and so can build the alignment when you open your heart and let them in.

All the team members should be aligned to what is at stake, only then success can happen.

So every leader should keep a check on the alignment of the 3 ways to keep Your Teams in Sync with organizational goals.
